MERENSKY BOOGSKUTS PRESTEER BY TRIPLE CROWN LEG 1

Merensky Landbou Akademie se boogskietspan het op 1 en 2 Februarie aan die eerste been van die Triple Crown-reeks deelgeneem. Die kompetisie is oor twee dae in Pretoria by die Wildcrete 3D Targets gehou. Alhoewel die weerstoestande winderig was, was deelnemers dankbaar dat daar geen reën geval het nie.

Die Merensky-boogskuts het uitstekende prestasies behaal en hul provinsiale vaardighede ten toon gestel:

• Rouxné Schnettler het ‘n eersteplek behaal met sowel ‘n Protea- as ‘n provinsiale kwalifisering.

• Zelke Kruger het in die tweedeplek geëindig en een provinsiale kwalifisering verwerf.

• Izelri Theron het ‘n derdeplek verower.

• Henk Meyer het ‘n tweedeplek behaal en twee provinsiale kwalifiserings ingepalm.

• Christiaan het in die derdeplek geëindig met twee provinsiale kwalifiserings.

• Nathan Swanepoel en Tommie Strydom het elk een provinsiale kwalifisering verwerf.

MERENSKY ARCHERS EXCEL AT TRIPLE CROWN LEG 1

Merensky Agricultural Academy’s archery team participated in the first leg of the Triple Crown series on the 1st and 2nd of February. The competition took place over two days at Wildcrete 3D Targets in Pretoria. Despite windy conditions, participants were grateful that no rain disrupted the event.

The Merensky archers achieved outstanding results, showcasing their provincial-level skills:

• Rouxné Schnettler secured first place with both a Protea and a provincial qualification.

• Zelke Kruger finished in second place and earned one provincial qualification.

• Izelri Theron claimed third place.

• Henk Meyer achieved second place with two provincial qualifications.

• Christiaan finished in third place with two provincial qualifications.

• Nathan Swanepoel and Tommie Strydom each earned one provincial qualification.

The Merensky Archery Team participated in the Limpopo North Indoor Provincial Competition on the farm on 7 and 8 February 2025, achieving good results.

HENK MEYER BLINK UIT BY MPUMALANGA FIELD BOOGSKIET

Vier skuts van Merensky Landbou Akademie het op 15 en 16 Februarie hul merk gemaak tydens die Mpuma-langa Field-kompetisie wat by die Yokol Adventure Camp in Nylstroom gehou is. Die Plasies het met indrukwekkende uitslae teruggekeer en nasionale kwalifiserende tellings aangeteken.

In die Junior Female Bowhunter Unlimited-afdeling het Carli Smit haar uitstekende skietvernuf gewys deur die eersteplek te behaal.

Die Junior Male Bowhunter Unlimited-afdeling was ‘n ware vertoning van Merensky-oorheersing. Henk Meyer het nie net die eersteplek verower nie, maar ook twee nasionale kwalifiserende tellings behaal. Christiaan Loots het tweede geeïndig, ook met 2 nasionaal kwalifiserende tellings, en Nathan Swanepoel was in die derdeplek met 1 nasionaal kwalifiserende telling.

MERENSKY BOOGSKIET SKITTER BY LIMPOPO SUID FIELD KOMPETISIE

Thabazimbi Boogklub - 1 & 2 Maart 2025

Merensky Landbou Akademie se boogskietspan het op 1 en 2 Maart 2025 by die Limpopo Suid Field Provinsiale Kompetisie, gehou by die Thabazimbi Boogklub, hul talent gewys en weereens bewys hoekom hulle as een van die voorste boogskietskole in Suid-Afrika beskou word.

Merensky is trots op hul drie verteenwoordigers:

• Henk Meyer het eersteplek behaal en twee nasionale kwalifiserende tellings van 534 en 526 geskiet.

• Christiaan Loots het tweedeplek behaal met twee nasionale kwalifiserende tellings en persoonlike beste tellings van 515 en 522.

• Nathan Swanepoel het tellings van 484 en 479 behaal, wat hom sy finale provinsiale kwalifiserende telling besorg het vir provinsiale kleure.

Met sulke indrukwekkende prestasies is dit duidelik dat Merensky se boogskietspan voortgaan om hul merk te maak in die Suid-Afrikaanse boogskietgemeenskap. Hierdie kompetisie was 'n belangrike stap vir die atlete op hul pad na verdere nasionale en provinsiale suksesse.

Baie geluk aan Henk, Christiaan en Nathan vir hul uitsonderlike prestasies. Merensky is trots op julle en sien uit na nog vele oorwinnings in die toekoms!

MERENSKY ARCHERY EXCELS AT LIMPOPO SOUTH FIELD COMPETITION

Thabazimbi Archery Club - 1 & 2 March 2025

Merensky Agricultural Academy's archery team showcased their talent at the Limpopo South Field Provincial Competition, held at the Thabazimbi Archery Club on 1 and 2 March 2025, once again proving why they are considered one of the top archery schools in South Africa.

Merensky is proud of its three representatives:

• Henk Meyer secured first place and achieved two national qualifying scores of 534 and 526.

• Christiaan Loots finished in second place with two national qualifying scores and personal best scores of 515 and 522.

• Nathan Swanepoel recorded scores of 484 and 479, earning his final provincial qualifying score for provincial colors.

With such impressive performances, it is clear that Merensky’s archery team continues to make a mark in the South African archery community. This competition was an important milestone for the athletes on their journey toward further national and provincial successes.

Congratulations to Henk, Christiaan, and Nathan for their outstanding achievements. Merensky is proud of you and looks forward to many more victories in the future!

MERENSKY BOOGSKUTS BLINK UIT BY SANIFAA 3D LIGA IN MOKOPANE

Merensky Landbou Akademie se boogskuts het op 15 en 16 Maart 2025 deelgeneem aan die Sanifaa 3D Liga-kompetisie wat by Shikwaru Lodge in Mokopane gehou is. Die uitdagende baan het uitstekende voorbereiding gebied vir die skuts wat aan die 3D Wêreldkampioenskappe aan die einde van April gaan deelneem.

Die Plasie-skuts het hul merk gemaak met uitmuntende vertonings en 'n indrukwekkende medalje-oes. Twee van Merensky se talentvolle boogskuts, Henk Meyer en Nathan Swanepoel, het hul nasionale kwalifiserings verseker.

MERENSKY ARCHERS EXCELL AT SANIFAA 3D ​​LEAGUE IN MOKOPANE

Merensky Agricultural Academy’s archers participated in the Sanifaa 3D League competition held at Shikwaru Lodge in Mokopane on 15 and 16 March 2025. The challenging course provided excellent preparation for the archers who will compete in the 3D World Championships at the end of April.

The Plasie archers made their mark with excellent performances and an impressive medal haul. Two of Merensky’s talented archers, Henk Meyer and Nathan Swanepoel, secured their national qualifications.

KAMPIOEN-BOOGSKUTS WYS HUL SLAG IN MODIMOLLE

Drie boogskuts van Merensky Landbou Akademie het hul staal gewys tydens die SANIFAA Field Nasionale Kampioenskappe, gehou van 21 tot 23 Maart by Kamp Yakol in Modimolle. Die kompetisie was straf, maar die Plasies het met puik prestasies uitgeblink!

🎯 Henk Meyer het 'n eerste plek behaal en boonop twee nasionale kwalifiserende tellings geskiet.
🎯 Christiaan Loots het tweede plek ingeneem, ook met twee nasionale kwalifiserende tellings.
🎯 Nathan Swanepoel het die vierde plek behaal met twee provinsiale kwalifiserende tellings.

Met hierdie uitslae agter die rug, verskuif die fokus nou na die internasionale verhoog – die 2025 IFAA World Bowhunter Championship (WBHC) wat van 27 April tot 4 Mei by Elgro River Lodge in Potchefstroom aangebied sal word. Dit is ’n groot geleentheid en ons skuts werk reeds hard om gereed te wees.

CHAMPION ARCHERS SHOW THEIR AIM IN MODIMOLLE

Three archers from Merensky Agricultural Academy showed their mettle during the SANIFAA Field National Championships, held from 21 to 23 March at Camp Yakol in Modimolle. The competition was tough, but the Plasies excelled with great performances!

🎯 Henk Meyer achieved first place and also shot two national qualifying scores.
🎯 Christiaan Loots took second place, also with two national qualifying scores.
🎯 Nathan Swanepoel achieved fourth place with two provincial qualifying scores.

With these results behind them, the focus now shifts to the international stage – the 2025 IFAA World Bowhunter Championship (WBHC) which will be presented from 27 April to 4 May at Elgro River Lodge in Potchefstroom. This is a big opportunity and our shooters are already working hard to be ready. 

MERENSKY BOOGSKUTS SKITTER IN VOORBEREIDINGSTOERNOOI VIR WÊRELDKAMPIOENSKAP

CULLINAN — Vyf boogskuts van Merensky Landbou Akademie het op 12 en 13 April 2025 aan die SANIFAA Wêreld Boogskiet Voorbereidingstoernooi by die Cullinan Boogklub in Cullinan, as voorbereiding vir die komende Wêreld Boogskietkampioenskap, deelgeneem.

Die baan was uitdagend en vir al die Plasie-skuts onbekende terrein, maar ondanks dié toets het hulle steeds puik tellings behaal.

MERENSKY ARCHERS SHINE IN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP PREPARATION TOURNAMENT

CULLINAN — Five archers from Merensky Agricultural Academy took part in the SANIFAA World Bowhunter Preparation Tournament on 12 and 13 April 2025 at the Cullinan Archery Club in Cullinan as part of their build-up to the upcoming World Bowhunter Championship later this month.

The course was challenging and unfamiliar territory for all the Plasie archers, but despite this test, they still achieved excellent scores.
